Today at work, we had to listen to ABBA.... ABBA!!!!!!!!

I really hate the new CD girl... lady. She slacked off a lot when she was just a bookseller, but now that she's on CD's, it's really noticeable. Jordan (the other guy on CD's) never takes his lunch break and usually needs to keep working an hour or so after his shift ends just to keep up. She's really spectacularly incompetent.

And it's not just that, she also picks the CDs when she's on. Today was ABBA, it was Randy Newman a few days ago, horrible country is usually the least offensive thing she plays. Today, our BOSS complained about ABBA, and she still wouldn't change it.

Is it just me, or is "Dancing Queen" not really appropriate music for <s>anywhere</s> a book store?

I'm having a torrid love affair with the fudgsicles in the freezer. (HA HA HA I misspelled fudgsicles and firefox suggested testicles instead, which would have made an AWESOME sentence!)

I haven't posted in a while, mainly because I have no clue what to say. I've been working full time although I have been going out quite a bit. I've been doing some modeling for a photographer friend of mine and some of hos friends. It's been interesting, really hard, actually but rewarding and flattering too.

I saw Memento last night. HOLY SHIT!!! That's one messed up movie! I don't think I picked up on everything, and definatly want to see it again. It was really good.

I'm really tired.

Felix is sleeping on my lap/arm so I don't want to move. She is the cutest thing in the world and I love her SOOO much. She had a confrontation today with a stray cat who lives in my neighbourhood. The stray was up against the screen of the window, and Felix did not approve! (it was adorable... she was all sneaky and trying to act tough!)

I've got the next week off... I was thinking of going home, but my apartment needs cleaning SO BAD and I promised to do some more shoots with Jordan if the weather's right. I dunno, I'll text a bunch of you if I do end up in P.A.

Goodnight!!!

This is quite accurate!

Your result for The Personality Defect Test...

Hand-Raiser

You are the Hand-Raiser, that annoying kid in class who always had an answer for everything. No doubt, as a child you probably sat in the front of the class, anxiously waving your hand back and forth in the air while your teacher desperately tried to avoid calling on you because you were the ONLY fucking kid that answered her questions. Clearly, the key traits of your personality are your rationality and your extroversion. You are like a little talkative calculator, in other words. You also tend to be rather gentle and less arrogant than most people. Your presence is a bane to everyone's existence, because you are too nice for your own good and you absolutely will not shut up. So what is your defect, then? Well, you're boring, and when you're not boring, you are just plain annoying with your ultra-logical responses and constant need to talk to others. So keep waving that hand in the air, son. I'm still not calling on you. You are too logical, you talk too much, and your humility and gentleness only makes me hate you more, because they make me feel like I almost SHOULDN'T hate you. But I do. Big time. And by the way, the more you wave your hand in class--your extended hand becoming nothing more than a blur as you insanely wave it, thinking we can't see it--the more smug satisfaction the teacher takes in watching the look of excruciating pain cross your face as you agonize over not being called on, and the longer we'll wait to call on you, just because we absolutely love torturing you so.

Your exact opposite is the Brute.

Other personalities you would probably get along with are the Braggart, the Haughty Intellectual, and the Robot.

I got these form the recently graduated Jerry:

1. After working in a book store, have you just randomly decided to grab a book off the shelf and read it while you were having a slow day? And if so, did you enjoy the book/finish it/read more by the same author?

Yes, I've done this a lot!! Some of the most memorable books were:
-"Who Built the Moon?" A hilarious conspiracy theory pretending to be science. It turns out that humans from the future went back in time to build the moon... yeeaaahh
-"Pretty Little Mistakes" A super intense choose-your-own-adventure aimed at young women. Very interesting.
-"The Worst Years of Your Life" a series of short stories dealing with the trials and tribulations of high school.
-"People Look Like Flowers at Last" Poems by Charles Bukowski.. 'nuf said!
-"The Batman Handbook" Basically how to be Batman!
-"The Darwin Awards" Adam may have explained to you what these are, but if he hasn't they're stories of people who have done something... miraculous to remove themselves from the gene pool.

These aren't novels because, even on slow days I've got to semi pay attention and I tend to get to involved in novels. I've enjoyed all of the above, (there have been plenty of others that sucked but I don't remember them too well) only finished a few, and have read more Bukowski!

2. What is one of your biggest guilty pleasures?

Eating desserts instead of real food on my lunch break, especially chocolate mousse!!

3. Do you want Children?

Not really... I may change my mind in the future, but right now I just can't see myself being a mom and enjoying it.

4. What was the last sentence you said?

"How do you spell 'especially'?" to Robbie.

5. What is your fondest memory of high school?

Lunches at the back of the Caf! Hanging out with everyone, talking about the stupidest things, that was great.

I reallly want to go to the lake!!! I miss it!!!!!!!
So I watched "Across the Universe" tonight.

It blew.

I was really disappointed because I thought it was going to be... you know, good.

It tried way to hard, and sort of assumed that it was awesome, simply because it was biased upon Beatles music. The songs were rarely well integrated and the plot was thin and way to literal of the songs themselves. There was no subtlety what-so-ever. Jude, Lucy, Prudence, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix... or sorry I mean Sadie and Joe; come on! However, the real winner for me was when a bunch of army recruits were carrying the statue of liberty on their backs crooning "she's so heavy". HEY LOOK GUYS IT'S A METAPHOR!! DO YOU GET IT?? DO YOU GET IT?? The whole movie just felt like it was beating you over the head with the metaphor frying pan.

I bet half the Beatles are rolling in their graves, and the other half wish they were.

Maybe not Ringo...
I was tagged by Jerry and Amber...

Here's what you do. You write five random facts about yourself, then you tag five people.

1. I have to pee... what? It's random and factual!

2. I have a weird crush-thingy on Robin (as in Batman and).

3. I think some of the most romantic songs ever come from Katamari.

4. I obsess over the formating of my word documents.

5. I wonder if new people I meet might be superheros.

OK, I tag...

Alecia
Adam, even though he's been tagged he's yet to do it
Jen, same reason
The Wonder Twins - "form of.... Omit instrumentals and songs in other languages.
Step 3: Italicize through the songs when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
Step 5: If you like the game, post your own

1. The kid of the swing moods is back in town
and everybody is tip-toeing around him

2. Germany was having trouble what a sad, sad story
needed a new leader to restore its former glory

6. Well I ain't sure but I've been told
He's baking cakes inside our souls

7. Trouble falls in my home
troubled man, troubled stone

8.
My earing is bugging me. I think I slept on it funny a couple nights ago and now it hurts when I poke at it. Not poking at it would be the obvious move here, but I have to test and see if it's still sore. I think "maybe it doesn't hurt any more and I've been avoiding poking my ear for nothing!" It's not like I poke my ear on a regular basis or anything, I just want know if I can without the pain. 'Pain' might be misleading, I'm not causing myself great agony every time, I'm not stupid, it's just a dull throbbing...

I wonder if it's still there...

Yep.
